Yeah, because on the one hand, as entertaining as I found Peter's like, complete irrelevance to most of the plot in season one, I really do laud JJ Abrams for trying to include him and make him relevant by revealing that he's really Alt!Peter. Except then they didn't actually reveal how that made any difference to him/us/the show's mythology and yet tried to make more S2 episodes about him anyway which...did not really work very well.
Also I may have yet again found myself on the wrong side of a shipping divide by deciding that I ship Astrid/Peter *facepalm* WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF?!
You do bring up a great point about Abrams shows though. And I agree about Lost - that wasn't a show with a small core cast with a principal female lead. I shall cling to this!
