Fringe: OMG LOOK AT THIS.

Okay, I have super ambivalent feelings about Fringe right now, but, if this isn't just some onset prop error, this is KIND OF AWESOME:

Watch the lights behind Olivia when she's looking a bit stressed out by Walter's ranting. THEY ALL FLICKER.

Ooh, I don't know those details! This is fun! Like Easter eggs. Was it revealed about the Observer in season 3? Oh, don't tell me! This is fun. :-)

Is he really in every episode? Wow! Now I have this need to rewatch everything! I won't but it's a fun idea. :-)

Nah, it was revealed reasonably early in season one, actually. But yes, he is in every episode at some point, in the background somewhere. The creepy glyphs that you get at commercial breaks? They are a code that spells out a short word that's relevant to the episode somehow too. Usually it's a fairly obvious thematic one, but for instance the S2 finale code was "WEISS" - a reference to Sam Weiss, the creepy bowling alley mentor that Olivia has? There was a phrase written on a blackboard in the S2 finale that was an anagram of "Don't trust Sam Weiss" which was apparently an easter egg, and recently we found out he knows way more than he ought to and wrote one of the weird prophetic-type books they found. Though we don't know why exactly not to trust him yet.

Anyway. Yes. It does well at the easter eggs. Here's hoping it does well at the actual story too since I'm still...nervous about that.
