I'm going to work backwards with your post because some of the things you said inspired some fascinating thoughts.

In my head his middle name is Christ Philip.
Henry Philip Dunham. That works for me. :-) I totally envision that Henry visited her with a big stuffed bear for the baby. Yup. I hope they are friends.

I was also fascinated by Walternate's reaction to her.
Walternate has his line. He does want to convert her. He thinks what he's doing is right. He really believes that she'll be grateful he's saving their world and her child's life. He really shouldn't underestimate either of the Olivias.

What I thought of when he put her in that little cell again wasn't of when he imprisoned realverse!Olivia there but of Darth Vader and Princess Leia. After the princess gave up the information or was clear she wasn't going to break, why didn't Vader kill her? Well, he did order her killed but he could have just killed her on the spot. (It's possible that he was interrupted; it's been years since I've watched SW.) He didn't know she was his daughter. It's interesting. Vader is much more ruthless than Walternate and much more subordinate to the Emperor. But he still didn't kill her. Maybe he had a line? Hmm. I have to rewatch Episode 4. Fascinating.

I like her for that - it's like Olivia with more swagger.
Alt!Livia totally swaggers! She seems younger than realverse!Livia sometimes. But yes, it's who she is. I'm worried for her. I'm worried she'll get to the real!verse and start that machine and die in it. I thought having a baby would make her a bit more cautious and prudent. But nope. I really like her.

Again kudos to John Noble.
I totally agree. He really sold that scene. I like that I'm seeing Walter grow when it comes to Peter. He still loves the boy completely but can see a bigger picture now beyond that love. He's learned lessons about what he's done to hang on to Peter and is letting him go. I wish Walternate could learn that but I don't know if he'd be destroying the real!verse as determinedly if he didn't have a grandson.

As for Peter? He's not going to work for me as a worthy partner for Olivia. At this point, Peter is like some of the Fringe science to me. I have to handwave it or I'd be stuck on how it doesn't make sense forever. Peter does work as a narrative tool; where would Walter, Walternate and Olivia be without Peter in there for some conflict? But we don't really know Peter. At least I don't.

Like I said last week, there is a lot of tell with Peter but no show, no proof he is what they tell us he is. It's odd. He's like the cut-out 'hero' when every other character down to Astrid and Nina seem to have more depth. At this point, I don't think I'll buy it but I do like his scenes with Walter and if they focus on that and minimally on the pairing, I'm okay with that.

I forget the killing of the shapeshifters. Star Wars trained me. They never ever mentioned the murder of the Tusken Raiders. Nope. I'm still waiting.
