not to go all meta on Three (still my favorite!), but I think what awes me about her is that, while Six always had that complexity and depth of faith, Three went on this crazy journey INTO complexity. she had a genuine conversion experience and completely floundered about how to process its intensity. that reminds me of Laura as well.

Sadly I fear it is flocked!

oh drat! here's a repost:

if you want to look at it fanonically, you could say that Tory is turning away from Laura because of heartbreak (or fear thereof). Laura's obvious connection to Kara, or at least obvious inability to truly connect to Tory as anything more than a tool, must be a blow to her. and now that she's a Cylon she has to know that Laura will NEVER love who she is. it makes sense that she would turn to Laura's arch-rival, the other charismatic and prophetic leader, to try to find a new place in the cosmos.

so in short, I didn't actually hate this. I sort of LOVED her whoring herself out, and the sex tears, and her half-assed excuse for them -- that was all somehow very IC with Tory's mercenary pragmatism. it's what happened afterwards, with the magic penis, that worries me. although still, I can understand Tory being caught off guard by Gaius's kindness and acceptance. but I STAND FIRM on the point that she is TOO SMART to ultimately be taken in by his Jesus BS. and she's been through too many deadly serious fights against him with Laura. I can see him putting her on the path to faith but I CANNOT see her becoming one of his disciples. that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
