but to also have her being all EVOL on New Caprica be unlame. Arrgh, I thought the same thing! I like her being the killer now for really fucked-up logical reasons. That she was *also* a killer on New Caprica for no apparent reason stretched it too far for me and made her kind of a caricature. EVIL IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR MOTIVATION, PEOPLE. You'd think Tricia Helfer had taught them SOMETHING by now. :p
(Then again, I still prefer my original idea where Eight plays it off like the last person she killed was the Real Killer and she was just defending herself. And it's creepy enough that Gaeta ends up killing her, but it's left disturbingly open-ended what really did happen.)
Okay, *I* was confused by the last Gaeta/Hoshi bit, but I think he's basically telling him:
a) If sekrit plan works, I'll look out for you b) If sekrit plan doesn't work, stay away from me
But either way, I think the tone comes off a little harsh, like it would explain why they're not seen together anymore in 4.5.
