Hmm, these are all good points. I was reading him more as having hit rock bottom and sort of soaking in the irony of it all. The knife from the Last Supper pic also worries me, since I have no idea how that may play out (if it means anything at all). Your take on him is making me a little less hopeless, though. And yeah, I think he really does love his kid, hopefully that will help keep him grounded. The parent-child bond is no small thing, like you said.

I'm really just worried about all of them at this point. I have no characters on this show that I just can't stand, so whoever doesn't make it will always hurt a bit for me.
