Love love love. LOVE. And I'm so happy that Sons and Daughters kinda spawned this.

I'm totally in love with the way you create the raiders' subjectivity here and parallel their struggles with Sam and Kara. From "puppet" to "unleashed," the flow among all the restrictions, rebellions and escapes is so perfect.

I'm so glad you like it, and also that you really get it. I decided I wanted to do Raider POV for the challenge straight away but when sketching it out I was amazed at how...real and uncracky (or serious cracky) the connections and parallels between Scar, Kara and Sam all were. Sam was the most surprising. I'd had the idea to use Kara since the beginning, roughly, because of the S1 story arc, but Sam's participation was a really joyful shock.

Oh yeah. Scar/Kara/Sam is the crazy awesome. It makes sense. Poor Scar, he is so misguidedly in love.

The set up is great and I love all the swirling. The use of the camera moves is stellar; there's movement and energy in it.

I'm really glad the camera moves work for you - your vids always make such amazing use of them, so I consider that high praise! I was trying to be a little "looser" with the editing this time. Not lazy but deliberately practicing making use of both BSG's wonderful internal camera movement and also trying to up the swirly factor with some off-the-beat cuts and stuff. So thanks for noticing. ;)

So much love for this! It works incredibly well. I'm particularly fond of the 'puppets of the priests' bit, but they are many excellent moments throughout. I'm so impressed with the tension you established between all three!!!

Wow. I usually only lurk around the corners of BSG fandom here on LJ, but this vid has kind of taken over my brain in an awesome way.

It's impossible to choose a favorite part, the song could have been written just for this pairing. I am kind of a fan of the "a god to fool the people" and puppet of the priest bits, but really, the whole thing is quite fantastic. I don't think I'll ever look at Scar in the same way again...like I needed another character to feel bad about with this show ;)

I hope it's ok that I've recced this on the TWOP fan vids page, I very much like all of the stuff you've done.
