So, like, a million years later I remembered I downloaded it! *facepalm*

LOVE IT. SO MUCH. Obviously I'll echo everybody else that I love what you did with the Tory/Roslin parallels - Baltar, baby-stealing, airlocking, prophecy godness. Eee! As usual, amazingly clever use of the lyrics in a crazily appropriate song. The little beats of "Just so I can step on everybody's feet" was my favorite part actually.

Oh Tory! How I love your adorable little evil self. I can't help it. She gets shit done, and with enthusiasm!

Hey, it was an awesome surprise to get feedback on this so long after posting. It's better this way! :D

AND YAY for loving it. I'm really pleased with the way the parallels worked out so I'm glad they seem to be working for everyone. I'm also secretly pleased that you like the "everybody's feet" beats because I initially wanted to shift clips on the fanfares rather than before them but it wasn't looking quite right. My beta wasn't sure either and ultimately it was one of those flip-a-coin things so I decided to go with the synchopated off-beat thing, so it blares on the characters not the cuts. So yeah, very gratifying that it's actually a favourite part for you!

HEE. For some reason this tickles me. I think it's the enthusiasm thing. Like...a 1950s war effort poster or something. TORY FOSTER NEEDS YOU! Um. Right. Yes. I don't want that on an icon now at all, no sir. /random.

Hee! Well, there is a part of me that will always associate her with the "Victory!!" icon that crack RPG Tory had on livewireless, so I think there's something to that.

EHhhe, I love Tory and Tory loves Laura. I also love your vid because it's as much about Tory as it is about Laura because so much of Tory is about Laura. Great use of the lyrics and the music. The connections are entirely awesome. I especially like how at 1:09 Tory's face stands out over Three's body.

Yay! I'm glad it comes across as Tory's vid rather than Laura's because it totally is, but as you say, Tory is all about Laura. I'm glad the connections work. I was really nervous because Tory is in comparatively little footage, so I'm pretty pleased I managed to get things to work as they did.

I'm gleeful you noticed the fade at 1:09. That was one of those happy vidding accidents where I pushed the fade way too far back (I thought) but figured, let's see what this looks like anyway, and then thought, "ooooh, that's pretty..."

And Tory's so efficient she gets both jobs done at once! Really, Laura should realise what she let get away. *sigh*

Tory is an amazing character and I'm glad you did a Tory vid. She's an extremely complex character that you were able to flesh out in a short amount of time. The connections from Tory to Laura work so well partly because they aren't all obvious and some of them are reaching. It's very much Tory's idea because she is grasping for a connection to Laura in any way possible.

On a more serious note, though, I'm glad I made a vid for her too and I'm glad I did it in the vidlet series because the brevity of her material really means that I don't think I could sustain the density of material and clips that I used here across an entire song. This project is perfect for tackling little-used but fascinating characters, actually, which is why I'm working on a Tigh vidlet for my next one (I figure I focused somewhat on Sam in Scar and Tyrol in Manifesto, so it's his turn).

I'm glad the very broad comparisons worked for you. I was aware as I was doing it that I wasn't always going to have material as perfect as "Stolen Babiez and Airlocks!11!" to use so it's nice that it ended up as a strength rather than a weakness on viewing it!

Tory is one of my new favorites for season 4, but I haven't been able to find something perfect for her.

I'm looking forward to the Tigh vidlet. I adore all four of them and you'll do something amazing with Tigh.

Tory/Laura/Airlock OT3! I can't stop watching this. The parallels are really excellent. Love the pairing of "to see my partner's face" with Laura turning her back to Tory at 0:55, since so much of Tory's behavior is attention-seeking (and Laura-centric).

On a completely superficial note - highly approve of all of the beautiful Tory hair shots.

In season four Tory is totally the kid who starts acting out after her parents get divorced she finds out she's a cylon. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that the person she really wanted attention from was Laura even though she was running to everyone else on the face of the Battlestar because Laura would probably airlock her...

On a completely superficial note, one can NEVER have too many beautiful hair shots and also your icon is fantabulous. :D

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The song actually wasn't my original idea. It was passed on to me by a friend as an idea for a Laura vid, but I thought it was so perfect for Tory. Of course, Laura snuck in anyway!

This is very awesome! Really deft use of flashbacks and intercutting their scenes to make the connections really come through. I especially like the connections that aren't apparent until you make them apparent in this vid! The comparison between Roslin and the prisoners and Tory on the basestar was one I would never have thought of, but it's awesome.

The comparison between Roslin and the prisoners and Tory on the basestar was actually something I'd never thought of until I needed to find a Laura parallel for that moment and suddenly it was clear. I was honestly worried people would find it weird and no understand what I was going for, so it's great to get feedback on that part in particular!

All About Eve with cylons! All About Eve is one of my favourite films, and this is one of my favourite vids. I love Tory and her cylon-embracing evil! Julie did tell you about the EVE AND CYLONS comparison. I've never actually seen that movie (though I know about it through reputation) but my initial response was ZOMG PERFECT!

Anyway, I'm soooo glad you like it. It's totally partly your fault anyway, for allowing me to become such an incorrigable cylon vidder!

I really loved this. I'd thought this song could work for Tory or maybe BSG women when I heard it (though a remix I think) a while back. I love the parallel's between Tory and Roslin, I hadn't consciously noticed many, and loved how you worked Tory wanting to be like Rosiln as a motivation for her actions into it.
