EEE! I get to post this one now! It was made for the twelvecolonies vid challenge. I came second! Which is kind of weird because ever since I first decided to make it, I had a really strong feeling that it would come in second. But hey, at least my weird gut instinct proved correct, and I'm very flatterd and thankful people voted for it!

I'm going to stick with my initial reaction, which was AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. HEEHEEHEE.

I thank you for repurposing the paint scene so it can be as cracky and hilarious for me as it is for you (instead of PAINFUL). Plus, the revenge for the death of the mutual soulmate was very cathartic. Of course Kara shot Adama in the face and Laura sent missiles after him. I mean, so obvious it's canon.

On a Serious Vidding Note (except, no, not really), I particularly love how it's like Leoben is stealing Adama's rebound girl in her head. WIN.

I'm so glad I was finally able to show you the ONE TRUE HILARIOUS INTERPRETATION OF THIS SCENE. I mean really, there is no way to take that scene seriously, or view it with anything other than utter hilarity, no matter the context. XD

I also support the face-shooting exploderising interpretation of Adama's end. And it's fine cus Kara will just come back from the dead like she did the last time her spaceship got blown up... :)

This is one of those things that defines BSG for me. No seriously! Because you actually made this work, and made it amazing, and made it brilliant, and yet it is STILL CRACK. It's just...ILU, I really do. Ever since that episode aired, those paint scenes had to be literally related to each other. Only on BSG. And probably only in your brilliant brain. Awesomeness!

Aww, thank you, that's such a nice thing to say. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. One of the reasons I was excited to do this was that it gave me a chance to work with doing a real off-the-wall AU narrative which is something I haven't tried to do in a vid before, so I'm really, really happy that it seems to be working and people seem to think it works.

As to the paint scenes, I completely agree with you! I remember even when I saw it - I was fairly familiar with the paint scene because I've vidded it before on a few occasions, and what struck me wasn't just the fact that they were both trying to blot out cylon-ness by covering it up with white paint, but the similarities of the motions and the angles and the shots, even. It was...so utterly bizarre I couldn't imagine they hadn't done it on purpose, and yet, what possible purpose could this mirroring serve except to cause me to have visions of Leoben showing up and making out with Adama. TO WHICH: OH GOD MY INNER EYE HAS BEEN BLINDED!

So yeah, only on this show. And my twisted head. ;)

I had the feeling this one will either get the first place or nothing at all. It was so down the list of vids at twelvecolonies and I remember thinking that few people will have the patience to watch them all but they may be intrigued by the title...
Anyway, it may not won the first place but who cares. It's still one of the best crack BSG vids I have ever seen and I couldn't wait for the official reveal to rec it to everyone :)

:D Yup, my vid! I was a little worried it'd get lost in the mass of vids too, but fortunately that didn't happen! I ended up watching them in sequence so you know, it was a huge rush and I had to go back and rewatch a bunch, we had a really great turnout this time.

I'm cool with it not winning first - as I said, I had a weird feeling it'd be second anyways; I think that humour often plays really well, but also, it's not going to be the sort of things people vote into first place, maybe? Either way, it's interesting and I'm finding it hilarious how many people knew it was me!
