OH MY GOD YOU GUYS I'M SO SORRY I'VE BEEN SO ABSENT. I mean, I'm never the most frequent of posters, but for real the last month and a half has been nuts. Like real-life stuff, and organising VidUKon (in a week and a half!) and also making a trailer for part two of the Kickstarter Comic Project I helped out with last year.

So first of all - LOOK YOU GUYS! I made the video for this, so you should all, you know, check it out:

PRESENTING A KICKSTARTER PROJECT WHAT I HELPED WITH.

My So-Called Secret Identity - it's kind of a reimagined what-if take on the Batgirl archetype set in the 90s. You can read the first four issues online for free.

In other news, where to even start? I'm behind with everything. Reading, telly, comics, music composition, correspondence, everything.

I want to talk about Steven Universe. I want to finish the 10k word Legend of Korra essay I wrote after it ended and has been sitting, 95% done, unlooked at, for weeks. I want to finish the vid I need to make so I can release the other vid I've already made. I want to make sure I don't forget all the musical stuff I realised I still knew last year. I want time to play more games. I want to talk about my discovery that minimum requirements for PC games seem to be largely bullshit. I want my work to stop demanding data with absolutely no error tolerance when I'm dealing with a huge, complex database, thousands of records at a time, and a lot of the information was input by temps who lacked appropriate training.

But whatever, I'm alive, if you're reading this, you're alive, in a week it's VidUKon and I'll see loads of cool people, and then maybe I'll have time for some of that stuff from that list up there... ;)

OKAY! SO I've been gone a long time because this month has been soooo busy. In addition to a lot of VidUKon prep (IT'S IN TWO WEEKS! EVERYBODY PANIC!) I also had the very cool opportunity to get involved in the My So-Called Secret Identity Kickstarter. I made the promotional video!

You can see it here:

You can also read the first four issues at:

Like, I think the project itself is cool? But also like, I MADE A THING GO LOOK AT IT. I would make you all stick it to your fridges if I could, but since I can't, I'm just going to point at it and wave my arms around a lot.

Also yeah, that is where I've been and what I've been doing. :)

Just in time to get given overtime at work! :P

SO HEY GUYS, do you remember back at the start of the year when I got to make a video trailer for the webcomic - My So-Called Secret Identity?

I actually got to make a second video as well, but it was originally a donation reward, and then with the completion of the second issue and relaunch of the Sound & Vision part of the website, I made a third video making use of the events of the second issue.

ANYWAY! All three are now up and available for viewing here, with a few comments form yours truly! Also (although not from yours truly) there is a suggested soundtrack available for streaming.

COMICS VIDS.

YOU KNOW YOU WANTS THEM PRECIOUS. ;)

Or if nothing else, I wanted to generally let people know I made them. See! I am still vidding sort of! Just less regularly and in...animated form!

SO! Okay, sorry guys - I've been totally awol. It's been a manic few weeks - increasingly untenable current employment situation, external audits, interviews, NEW JOB (start in a month), boy getting a job for the first time in a very long time (exciting but emotionally exhausting), Vidukon organising, Vidukon panel making things, Vidukon premiere making things, AND MOST INTERESTINGLY, the thing I'll talk about in a second.

The point being, I've been all over the place the last couple of weeks and fell really behind on my flist. Please let me know if there's anything important I've missed and sorry for being so awol.

BUT! The exciting news!

I was given the opportunity to create an official trailer for My So Called Secret Identity - the new web comic from pop culture academic and professional Batman fan, Will Brooker!

If you go to the main page, my trailer is RIGHT THERE in awesome glory. Hopefully it will do its job and make you want to check out the comic itself (first issue available now, free of charge!) which is a superhero comic about a woman with no super powers, you know, except that she's really, really smart. It's a look at the genre without women in fridges, bathing suit costumes, or damsels in distress.

Anyway, check it out! I'm pretty excited I got the chance to do it:
