Awww, yay, I'm glad I helped you see Olivia in a bit of a new light. I really do think that her quiet stoicism is her defining attribute.
I think the whole issue of people falling in love with alternate versions of people they love is part of what I think is so far being wasted? In part because we never get Peter's POV? I mean, if this were that mythic "good version" of this love triangle, we would be getting that, but we're not.
And the problem is, I can't answer your questions about Peter and why she'd choose him or who he is because I don't know. I always liked the brother/sister vibe too so I think even if we did know who he was better, I probably wouldn't ship them, but I would at least be less confused.
And yeah, I think previously being burned by ships where the girl ends up getting screwed over isn't helping. I certainly don't have much hope or trust in this one, which, as I said, is part of why I find it so weird/frustrating that they didn't actually fail. Like, I still recognised Olivia and saw her doing stuff that made my heart go out to her and want to hug her. Which is...difficult when I think it may all be about to go down in flames.
