I feel similarly - I vidded it for an exchange where the first choice request was for this ship and it wasn't one I had previously thought much about, but through working out an angle from which to vid it, I began to find it really fascinating. Even if you don't ship it, these two have a really interesting and possibly underappreciated dynamic.
