The only thing I dislike about Liara's romance story (although admittedly I haven't played it, but I'm about to) is that the game seems to assume that you will choose her (or that you should). I've managed to trigger it without trying on two out of three playthroughs, and I don't know if there's a way to avoid it other than being an utter dick with her (because I really can't nasty to her - she's such an utter dork, and I love her for it).
Then again, it also does that with Kaidan, to some extent, anyway and, I assume, Ashley (again, because I haven't played as man!Shep, but am just about to, so...we'll see).
