I need a montage!
Mar. 14th, 2006 09:01 pmTeam America... I think my head just exploded. That was the funniest film I've seen in AGES.
It's just genius. Such a clever piss take, and it manages to insult EVERYONE.
Highlights include: Hans Blix being eaten by sharks. Kim Jong Il turning into a cockroach and escaping in his tiny cockroach-sized space ship, live tigers being let loose on the little puppet people and being played by...live house cats, and, left til last, cos it's *so* the best, Susan Sarandon getting machine gunned in the chest before falling from a balcony and splattering on the front steps of an Imperial Korean Palace.
Plus, dialogue like, "Gary. You can't blame yourself for what Gorillas do." And, "There's no "I" in Team America!" And, that classic song, "AIDS! Everybody's got AIDS!"
Oh no! The terrorist is escaping into the Louvre! Quick Sarah! You're our only hope! LOCK ON MISSILES!
Ah, the destruction of priceless art and countless world landmarks, in puppet form. Plus, it has a montage.
