Write-A-Thon: Conclusion.
Jan. 12th, 2008 09:50 pmWell...I thought I'd write up all the stuff I learned and it'd be long. But really it's pretty damn short:
1) At least within a smaller story, such as the ones I was writing, I am nowhere near as bad at plot as I thought. Though I do not believe I could as easily write one that spanned a novel(la).
2) I am already forgetting that for about a week I felt like I was not bad at plot.
3) Yes. Still love the whole writing thing. Love it.
4) Should probably do this again, and should probably keep trying to write more in between. We'll see.
Finally, thank you everyone who gave me a prompt or commented; you helped me probably more than you'll ever know. So, from my heart, thank you all.

Date: 2008-01-13 09:07 pm (UTC)I suppose then, if I were requesting writing from you, I'd ask for your take on either the seventh or ninth doctors as they're my favourite. Or Ace. Pretty much anything about them would make me happy, but I love them best when they're near manic, but with an absolute clarity about what they're doing and no illusions about the morals involved. *cough*unlikemessiahcomplexten*cough* Like in Curse of Fenric when Seven's like, "Yes Ace, I will totally destroy all your illusions and break your mind to save the universe."
Or, were you more inclined towards original fiction, I'm a sucker for unreliable narrators. It introduces so much delicious interpretive room for the reader and is a real joy to see what the author can sketch between the lines.
So, for a prompt you didn't request (and absolutely no production pressure), how about: an unreliable narrator makes a brutal choice to save the universe.
:)
And thanks again for playing the original game!
Still haven't gotten around to reading and commenting -
