Well I hate Owen with a passion, but yes, there were moments in S2 where I thought...okay, they have the chance to do something interesting with him. And that's part of why I hated the ending - as I said in response to asta77 - the whole situation undercut Owen's rather...noble death, in the end. His just deciding it was going to be okay, after being talked down from screaming, was...really touching, but I just don't care. *sigh*
