PEOPLE OF LJ, I HAVE RETURNED TO CARDIFF. COMMENCE CELEBRATIONS.

More thoughts on my South Korean Experience may follow, but at the moment, I think the most succint way to summarise it is: I am very glad I went, and very glad I came back.

Also, people have been linking the Great Vidding Truth Meme, and to be honest, that sounds terrifying (more because I figure most of the people who know who I am actually comment already so I'm not sure there's anyone left for this) but since my friends are doing it, I figure I can be brave and do it to.

I feel like a total pimp.

I am also MASSIVELY behind on my flist (on account of having basically travelled for 48 hours which involved like two hours of catnapping sleep, and then having actually fallen asleep for about 15 hours. So I'm like three days behind or something.)

Yay! I am indeed home safe and reasonably sound. MY GOD MY BED HERE IS SOFT as compared to the one I had in Incheon. Or perhaps after 48 hours of various plane, train and automobile seating anything would have seemed soft.

Wel, speaking as someone whose brain is rarely not in odd and cylon-centric places, I approve! ;)

I'm trying to finish off a vid at the moment and I have a few back-burner projects, but making the last one was good fun, so I'm up for trying it again at some point!

Well, the decision to actually leave was a fairly hasty one that was basically precipitated by the fact that all signs pointed toward imminent financial meltodown on the part of my employer.

Had that not been the case I would probably still be there. There were a bunch of crummy things about my employment situation and the way they treated us, but we were doing mostly okay until the "you might not actually ever get paid again," card got played.

Awesome! Cardiff is actually a waaaaays away from London (I have the British rather than the North American sense of distance!) but if we're in the area, that could be fun. I don't want to guarantee anything though as our financial situation is currently a little precarious and also we have standing plans to go to Plymouth for the end of February so depending on when you're around, we may not be.
