I've been thinking about that a lot, actually, since Ellen was all OMG, SHE'S YOUR DAUGHTER because a) she'd NOT, you just wrote her programming and picked what she looked like and b) YOU'RE A ROBOT.
Anyway, I also have thoughts like "Starbuck's fate is to be haunted by the son (Lee, Zak, Leoben) and in love with the father (Adama, Anders)." And I am not sure how I feel about it.
It does amuse me greatly, though, that half my flist is all OMG, IT'S MELROSE SPACE! and I am all IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME!
