I didn't know you were looking for recs for shows no longer on air. I'd also add to the chorus singing Carnivale's praises. There are no highly evolved robots, but there is destiny and prophecy and religious weirdness and people coming back from the dead. And while the show loses focus and goes off in some perplexing directions in Season 2 that is AFTER Ron left the show. Yes, the stronger, more satisfying season was the one he oversaw. And I don't want to give away any spoilers for others who haven't seen the series yet and wish to, but Ron actually does something on 'Carnivale' that we wished he had done on BSG. I actually want to do a rewatch because there are a lot of themes Ron developed in 'Carnivale' and carried over to BSG and I'd like to compare and contrast the two.
