Aww, this was so nice! Hera! Interesting. I wrote that BSG/Meerkat Manor ficlet exactly one year ago. Yup. Last Labor's Day weekend. Hee. I'm currently trying to write thirteen-year-old Hera in AU Handmaid's Tale world. In fits and starts and may never get posted. But your association of me with her character is correct! I am curious about her. We'll see if she keeps talking to me. :-)

Oh dear, yes! That was embarrassing enough at the time, and in retrospect seems rather unconscionable, but dammit, they might have been sort of awesome, if things had gone really differently than they did!

And I'm always both flattered and surprised that so many people seem to have the Aeryn association for me because, well, as much as I'd like to be Aeryn-like, I'm really not! Though I'm sure it's an icon use thing!

I think it's partly because of your LJ layout, maybe? I'm not really sure where it came from but I also think it's because I think of you as a very strong-minded and intelligent person (which might lend itself to bright colours), but there's something quite calm about you too? I feel you are powerful but not loud so I think I wanted a more muted tone, but...I also didn't want it to be too, well, girly thus you get a kind of blue-ish hue that I think seems cooler and more contemplative?

OR MAYBE I JUST THINK WEIRD THINGS ABOUT COLOURS AND PEOPLE. ;)

I still absolutely maintain that it SHOULD have been more awesome, that they set up something more awesome and that if they hadn't regressed on everything they set up in the last five to eight episodes it would have BEEN more awesome, and thus we are ENTIRELY NOT TO BLAME even though it is still kind of embarassing...

But you know what? Aeryn Sun wouldn't be embarassed. Aeryn Sun would just shoot the problem until she felt better! Since that is unlikely to be a feasible solution for either of us, though, I will *squish you back*
