PEOPLE OF LJ! I HATH RETURNED!
Sep. 3rd, 2011 08:11 pmHello peoples! I have been in the wilds of the Real World and barely online lately as a result of going off to London and then on my return hosting a friend who I hadn't seen in a few years for a week, which was awesome, but not conducive to keeping up with my flist which I was already behind on: see London.
In sum: Batman Live was AWESOME and Harley Quinn stole the show ("Mr J, is the gravity broken again?!"). The stadium went wild when Batman finally said, "I'M BATMAN." and while everyone cheered when Batman showed up in his costume for the first time, K was pretty much the only person in the whole O2 arena who started cheering when Robin did. ...lolz.
Anyway, it was camp and hilarious and took itself entirely seriously while knowing exactly what it was and not pretending to be anything else. A great time was had by all. Also, we took a wrong turn out of Chinatown on the way to Forbidden Planet and ended up finding an awesome comic shop that sold me A BIG BARDA T-SHIRT. I didn't even know they made those. So that was sweet.
SO, ON TO THINGS PERTINENT TO MY RETURN!
1) Happy belated birthday,
kiki_miserychic! You rock hardcore.
2) Like I said, I'm way behind on my flist. If there's anything fun or important that I've missed while I've been gone, please link me.
More specifically, I think I saw a couple of posts about some ANON LOVE MEME (bolded in an attempt to grab the attention of people skimming past my blather about Batman stage shows... :p). That, in particular, if you could point me to your entries on, I would love to tell you that you're awesome.
And now, I have a cranky headache and I'm going to try and read Justice League #1 before watching the new Doctor Who (I am studiously avoiding a reaction to the last episode since it would be about 50% love and 50% hate and 100% confusion!), so if you never see me again, one or the other probably ate me. ;)
