Grr! Not only did I feel sick all yesterday, but I woke up this morning feeling rotten to the point I couldn't face the transit time and wandering around all day of my much-looked-forward-to outing to Bristol. AND NOW I'M TEETHING.

Damned wisdom teeth. Why the hell have two decided to come through at once?

So yeah. Now I can't eat anything but toast, my gums are throbbing, and I'm bored because I'm all alone instead of living the high life and buying comic books in Bristol.

ZOMG WOE.

Clearly my life is the most TRAGICAL EVAR!11!1!

/self-pitying moan.

Sorry. :( Have I ever mentioned how I had to have ten teeth pulled from my mouth (four baby, for wisdom, and two permanent that there weren't room for)?

On the brightside, new BSG to download tonight. And if the previews are correct, there will be at least one Laura scene. Woo!

OUCH! Fortunately my wisdom teeth are just making my gums throb, nothing so dramatic!

There were, in fact, many! And I need to go catch up on your ep reaction now that I'm cogent enough to think again! :D

Haha! I've never actually tried that as a method to cure an illness... Though truthfully, I wasn't in any state to write anything... I got much worse before I got better!

Hope your feeeling better now and discovered many different toppings for your toast.

Call me stupid but i never realised wisdom teeth came along so late in life.

I take it you were gonna be attending Brisol Comics Fare. Sorry you couldnt make it. Curious, what comics do you buy other than star wars legacy? I'll always love Bristol for supplying me with a Yak Face, shame Forever People closed down though twas a funky shop.

I am feeling quite a lot better now though the weekend was...highly unpleasant.

I looked it up on Wikipedia and apparently wisdom teeth tend to come through between 17 and 25. I'm 24 so it's later on but not unusually so. I have another wisdom tooth that came through when I was about 21 and the final one I've heard nothing from. Also, I've always been late getting teeth - lost my baby teeth late, got my molars late, so...it's not really surprising on this front either, I guess.

I wasn't actually going to go to the comics fare, I was just going to visit a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, the date was pure coincidence. As to the comics I get though - I read Legacy (as you know) and two other Star Wars titles - Knights of the Old Republic and Dark Times. Though Dark Times is going on hiatus in a few months to make room for some Clone Wars tie-ins to the new animated feature that's getting released. I'm kinda glad, the first arc was good, but DT hasn't been wowing me lately so it'll give me an excuse to stop picking it up for a while. I will also occasionally pick up the Dynamite New Battlestar Galactica comics, and I'm getting the three-issue Serenity comic, and would probably pick that up if it were a monthly.

I am also ashamed to admit that I have no idea what a Yak Face is, and I think that Forever People shut down before I started going to Bristol, though I do mourn the closure of Travelling Man. That was an awesome shop!

"yak face" was a nick-name for a race of 3-eyed aliens, one of whom (ree-yees) was seen in the cantina in mos eisley in ep IV.
cant remember the actual name of the alien race, though.

Aah. See, I'm enough of a Star Wars geek to know that - I'm pretty sure - those are the Gran (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gran). What a great name for a species. Wouldn't it be hilarious if your gran really looked like that?

And yes, I am a giant dork, and no, I didn't have to think about the answer to this question for more than about half a second...
