That quote is hands down my favorite of The Matrix movies. It speaks volumes not only about Smith, but about humanity and the nature of the Cylon. Once again, I love how you frame your vids within the structure of BSG. The use of the audio for the editing is very cool. The clip choice with the original Cylon model and young Adama. It's so creepy and powerful with the black silence and the POV shots. The silent visual screaming of the humans under Smith's voice is weirdly moving and rather beautiful.

Thank you!

It's my favourite speech too. I saw the Matrix when it was first released. I was thirteen or fourteen I think, and I had NO idea what it was about before I went into the cinema. And even after all the crazy mind-twisting reveals, the genius weird way Smith described humanity as a virus really stuck with me.

I'm especially glad that the POV shots and the screaming humans worked for you. The POV shots I think turned out much creepier than I anticipated, and the silent screaming turned out much...prettier? I thought it'd just be ubercreepy but instead it's kind of creepy because it's so wrong that it's...sort of beautiful? Creepily beautiful?

Anyway, thank you for your feedback: a joy to read as always.
