I'm really glad that I'm not the only one who found Baltar's argument really frakking weird. I'm still ticked that Lee didn't call him on it. I mean, they could so easily have made that scene about something less ludicrous. Like Baltar petitioning to be a legally recognised religion with whatever standard political perks that comes with, which they could totally make up, or something. I don't know. But something better than this!
And you're right - I rewatched the scene and there's an Eight in Colonial Fatigues looking like absolute crap in the background, which is obviously Athena. I was just surprised by the lack of specific close-up and didn't notice it at first. Thanks for the catch!
