RECWAR! Um, I mean, two awesome TSCC vids!

So, some of you may remember VIDWAR: ROBOT APOCALYPSE?

Well, seems like little Chaila's trying to step up to the plate and play in the major leagues... And even though her ROBOT APOCALYPSE show got canceled before it passed adolescence, I gotta say, girl's got GAME.

So seriously, guys, check out her pair of vids - Suicide Future. Derek. John. Two characters I don't care that much about BREAKING MY HEART with insanity (the former) and loss (the latter). Although frankly some might watch and reverse those two descriptions. They're a brilliant pair of vids about two men, broken simultaneously by displaced pasts and inevitable futures, with two different responses. Derek feels lost and irrevocably damaged, while John feels damaged and irrevocably young, and I love them both.

And so will you.

Really, go watch it. Having to counter-counter-attack something so awesome has me nervous. (Not really. This is just me trying to lull Chaila into a false sense of security. Honest. *twitchy eyes*).

...Goodness. That astonishes me. This is an awesome rec. I wish I had such coherent thoughts when I made them! As always, I sort of weirdly feel like I meant this and had these ideas swirling around my head, but could not have articulated it so clearly or succinctly. I do love how you've so clearly articulated what the show does with time. No matter where they go, they are displaced, out of their time; the future is always coming, and the apocalypse is always where they're going and it breaks them in various ways before it's ever here.

Aha, I see what you're doing, trying to blind me with awesome recs! A very effective effort, I must admit, but ultimately doomed nonetheless.

Well firstly, I'm really glad you like the rec, and secondly, I know that feeling very well. ;) Sometimes I think I vid when I can't say it and hope someone else will watch the vid and say it back to me.
