I ATEN'T DEAD. I owe soooo many comment replies and I'm sincerely sorry for being so behind. I was all FULL STEAM AHEAD going through November and the start of this month and then I think real life and I collided headlong and I let things slide for a day or two and all of a sudden it's a week later and I've fallen off the face of the internet.

So, to celebrate, I'm going to obnoxiously solicit more comments, that I WILL try to respond to. ;)

The moments of the hybrid and Catherine Weaver on "we are the insurgents" in both of your "there's a war going on for your mind" vids, respectively. Both moments just succinctly but utterly break open the meta themes of both shows and set up the amaaaaaazing explorations of the personal and political conflicts of those characters and shows that you do in both vids.

Gosh, SO many things come to mind. I don't want to pick out just one thing from "The name of this story is your name", because really the whole thing is perfection -- but one scene that guts me every single time is when she and HeadGaius can't remember the thing about rabbits that used to be on her list. I love your ability to take this random detail and keep calling back to it just enough for that to be really meaningful.

Also I have named Gaius and Caprica's kids like nine times and never got anything better than Julia and Felix. Also when Ellen tells her she the Sixes didn't want a name. Also the ending. Also ALL OF IT.

...shit, I fail at this meme. I cannot even speak of There Is a War Going on for Your Mind and Moon vs. Sun right now.

The rabbit idea seemed to be something that quite a few people picked out which really means a lot to me because it was an idea that came to me as I was writing it, and I was uncertain whether my internal bad-idea radar had let slip because it was a bit...random? And so seeing people respond well to that really was a wonderful part of seeing what people made of that story. So thanks again for mentioning it.

Also, thanks, I like Julia and Felix too, but I think kid number three is obviously called Roman ;)

Gosh, Becca. I feel like Nicole above. There are so many moments. The name of this story is my name. Laura in Jesus Walks. Amy. Leia. Hera and Liam in Redactica. Maybe Hera and Liam. I want to believe they had a future together somewhere. Maybe I'll keep that. And that Caprica is long-lived and still alive. I'll keep that too. And Amy's eyes and River's smile and Natalie's face on the line, "odious" and "so sick at heart".

But really, I think little AU Hera and Liam, I want to keep them, plz. They are alive together somewhere in the corners of my AU mind and you helped keep them alive there so thanks for that. :-)

I love how much you love "Manifesto" - it's such a short snippet, but very close to my heart and you always say such nice things about it. But yes, I'm ABSOLUTELY up for running off and living in the happy land of Hera and Liam and Nicky Tyrol and A Hundred Other Cybrids. <3

I'm not sure this is my One True Answer, but it's the thing that stands out most in my mind:

gabolange and I had just returned from our Epic Road Trip of Awesomeness and were sitting on her couch, catching up on the internet, and you and Chaila had been spamming lots about River Song, and at that point I sort of knew she was on Doctor Who, but that was it. And you had posted "Set My World into Motion," and even though I'm completely incapable of watching vids where I don't know the context (and I don't think I finished that one at that point), I started watching, and then paused after the first 20 seconds and said to

gabolange "OMG, she's whatsherface from ER and she has RED HEELS AND A GUN. I have a feeling I'm going to like this woman!"

So yes, I don't know that I'd say that's my favourite moment in something you've done, necessarily, but it is perhaps the one that stands out the most for me. :D

Yes, the problem of One True Answers is definitely the thing about this meme, so don't worry I get where you're coming form and your One True Answer of the Moment is just as exciting to hear about.

And I completely approve of your choice! I made the first twenty seconds (stopping with the bit where she pulls down her shades) and watched it OVER AND OVER and that was the point where I was like, "shit, yes, I do have to do the whole thing in split screens, because River is Just That Awesome." I'm also SO GLAD I managed to introduce you to her! RIVER.
