I wonder if that's why I loved that show. Awesome dark-haired beauties who don't take any shit and don't need saving.

She's actually not that angry which is part of why I love her - she's the sort of person who'll beat the shit out of a bad guy because she has to to save the world but not really because she wants to. But yeah, she certainly gets the job done, especially when it involves WRESTLING BEARS.
Xena's a good comparison - Lucy Lawless actually voiced Wonder Woman in one of the animated movies (though one where she plays a supporting role unfortunately) and it's a great match.

But really, it's not at all narrative, as you can see!
