For the second time in two days, I was either the recipient of a call informing, or the original administrator for patients whose referrals had to be cancelled due to sudden death. Yesterday I had to run across the office to stop someone inputting something because literally twenty minutes after receiving the referall, the referrer called back to let us know the person had dropped dead.

Combined with the fact I once managed to phone up a patient to arrange an appointment during his wake, and I have acquired something of a reputation.

I really hope it's undeserved! But it never seems to happen to anyone else!

i know someone who takes requests whenever she goes on holiday - name a celeb you want dead, and theres a good chance it will happen while she is out of the country.

When my Second Most Evil Boss Evah used to go on holiday outside the UK she would cause natural disaters in her wake. Proof, if further proof were needed, of the power of her evilnessity.

I was going to call you tomorrow or today, but now I'm afraid... I have things to do on this world still! Dropping dead would be terribly inconvenient right now.

(BTW, I'm still mostly without internet, so in case there's any reason I *shouldn't* call, you'll have to tell me about it within the next three hours... Otherwise I'll just try my luck.)

I didn't quite drop dead, but I did get very ill. And I was only *planning* to call you! What would have happened if I'd actually called? Maybe I *would* have dropped dead...

I'm better now, but thanks to illness I'm way behind on my uni work now, so there's no time for leisurely phone calls. Grr.

...it happened again today. I was [i]covering[/i] this totally different section of the office dealing with totally different appointments, and what do I get? For the first time ever (it's a new section), someone calling up to cancel his mother's appointment because she's dead. *sigh*
