ZOMG! [livejournal.com profile] asta77 IS THE BEST EVAR!

See, the post in my area is hopelessly, hopelessly slow (everything is taking like a week plus longer than it should to arrive!) and I just got your ROCKING card and acoutrements!

For the record, somehow the S1 gag reel passed me by (yes I feel like a bad fan) and I didn't even know there WERE Star Wars stamps! Now two of them are adorning the back of my laptop! Though unfortunately, the two I chose and their placement, it now looks like Luke is checking out Princess Leia's ass... But I think that adds to the charm.

Anyway what an AWESOME thing to come home from work too!

Now I'm off to watch the gag reel.

*GLEE*

Also: ROLL ON SPOILERS.

I did see the promo pic, but sadly, have very few comments that we haven't shared already. i.e. at least they've sat Lee closer to Laura and ZOMG he is hot in a suit (and also hooray for Civilian!Lee!)

WOW do I hope we get a full 22 episode order. (Note, though, I do very much support the position of the writers in their strike.)

((((ASTA))))

YAY! It Arrived!

I don't know which side of the ocean to blame, but mail was incredibly slow getting to ALL people outside the U.S. this year. I had a friend in Romania email me yesterday about just receiving her card and [livejournal.com profile] k_julia just got hers today too. When no one mentioned getting my card I just figured it was slow going this year/last year and didn't worry...yet. ;)

I thought for sure you had the S1 gag reel! It's my favorite of the gag reals. I've only seen bits of the S2 one and I think I found a copy of the S3 one on Google. And I'm really happy you didn't have the stamps. As I said, I've had them forever and I thought that my procrastination would muck up the surprise.

I think the new promo pic is very cool, but my gut told me it was the photographer choosing where people sat and that it wasn't worth my time analyzing. I am thrilled at how close Lee is to Laura and that he is grouped with the civilians. I have concerns Lee might be marginalized since he won't be part of the military anymore, making decisions as CAG, hanging out with the pilots, etc. On the other hand, seeing him in a new role, using a new set of skills, and OMG having scenes with Laura and not Kara, yeah that makes me kind of happy. ;-)

Well I know that the shoddiness of our mail was actually in the local news, so I'm sure that my end had at least something to do with it...

I thought for sure you had the S1 gag reel!

When did it come out? Because I didn't get hardcore into online fandom and find out about all the deleted scenes and stuff until it was late S2. So I could have missed it that way. Though I could also have missed it because I remember there being one gag reel I couldn't get Google Video to work...

*thinks*

Hooray for stupidly cryptic RTD clues!

I have concerns Lee might be marginalized since he won't be part of the military anymore, making decisions as CAG, hanging out with the pilots, etc.

See, that hadn't even occured to me, so blinded by the HOT SUIT was I... But I don't think you need to worry; because I feel even if he has slightly less screen time, it's going to be with more interesting stuff. Lee was always least interesting when they were trying to make him and angsty pilot and most interesting when he was an angsty civil rights activist and now he can't be the former.

Then again, perhaps I'm overly optimistic? But...but...but...CIVILIAN-GANG-SPEECH. (I may, perhaps, have rewatched that recently, and I may, perhaps, be flaily...)

Plus, as you note, SCENES WITH LAURA!

I first saw part of the Season 1 gag real at Dragon Con in 2005. Richard Hatch played the "Hey, Yeah" (or whatever the title of that song is) clip during a Q&A and I was all MUST HAVE NOW! But none of the dealers had it. :( Fortunately, I decided to search Ebay and found someone selling copies! So if you didn't start watching until S2 there is a good chance you missed knowing of it's existence.
