Thanks to everyone who left nice messages in my self-pitying previous update. After about four days of being alternately exhausted and unable to eat anything more interesting than bread and soup, I am feeling mostly human again! Today, I went OUT into the REAL WORLD where I ate half a SUBWAY SANDWICH and didn't even feel sick!

I will be trying to catch up and post a BSG: Faith reaction at some point later this week, and the weekly vid-project should also continue on schedule: just waiting for the next storyboard from [livejournal.com profile] projectjulie.

Anyway, I notice loads of people are doing this cool meme about what show you're really watching, and it seemed like fun! So:

I am not watching Battlestar Galactica, I am watching Laura Roslin and the Art of Cylon Etiquette.

I am not watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I am watching The show where Cameron breaks my heart each time she reminds me she is a machine and not a Cylon.

I am not watching The Sarah-Jane Adventures, I am watching Proper Doctor Who.

I am not watching 30 Rock...no wait, I'm pretty sure I'm actually watching 30 Rock.

I am not watching Doctor Who, I am watching Time Goddess, abandoned on a Beach. (I think this one will end as well as Torchwood did...)

I am not watching Torchwood.

I did not watch Babylon 5, I watched, Political Heroism: Noir.

I did not watch Farscape, I spent the first season watching The Muppets and the next three seasons watching John & Aeryn's Love Destroys the Universe: Don't forget your sunglasses, there will be glare.

I did not watch The X-Files, it was the soundtrack to the end of my childhood, my adolescence and my early adulthood, and I think the show I really watched was, The Show that will CUT YOU worse than finding out your parents aren't perfect or that there's no Santa ever could.

I did not watch Dead Like Me, I watched Rube, Eating.

I am not reading the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force, I am reading Death of Democracy, Identity and Justice: a study in Insanity as the most Viable Remaining Option.

I am not watching Heroes, I am watching Hiros, which is essentially the same show, but with 50% extra Hiro. I am eagerly awaiting the spinoff, Batman & Robin Monica & Micah.

I did not watch Deep Space Nine, I watched Captain Sisko: Shaving his Head for the Good of the Federation.

I did not watch Firefly, I watched Kayleigh Tries to Adopt the Tam Family.

And...I should probably stop now.

I am not watching Torchwood

Hee!

I've only watched the first four 'Who' episodes of the current season/series, but I'm tempted to do a post on the awesomeness of Donna and how she kicks Rose and Martha's asses in the companion department. :)

Me too.

Heh. Is it wrong that I liked the Muppets best?

I'd read that with interest! I'm enjoying Donna a whole lot. I'm definitely enjoying her more than Martha, but to be fair to Martha, I liked her a lot more in Torchwood when I didn't have to spend half the episode being stressed by David Tennant's righteousness. Also to be fair to Martha I liked her a lot more before they started writing her as having a crush on him and ZOMG NEVER AS GOOD AS ROSEEEE. I get that they wanted to be respectful to Piper's character, and weirdly, I want Rose to have been special/unique/somehow destined for something just to explain why the Doctor was obviously in love with her without making it creepy, and I am grateful they aren't going with him now having flirtations and romances with all his companions because...eew. BUT they way they handled it was...not great and ended up wrecking Martha. And...that rant over, what I mean to say is, I think it's really great that with Donna they're just going with the FRIENDS route quite clearly, on both sides.

Also, the Pompeii episode was awesome! Like, one of the best I've seen in a long time!

Anyway, I'd read your post with interest!

Me too.

Yay! I need a Sarah-Jane icon. :(

Heh. Is it wrong that I liked the Muppets best?

No, that is not wrong. Kev much prefers the Muppets too and spent most of the rest of the series loudly lamenting that show's demise. Or, as we called it, Space Chase, which was the original concept for the show title when it was going to be much more Original Trekkish Adventures With Muppets, and much more Season One-ish with them forever having wacky adventures trying to evade capture. I...kind of miss that show too actually. I'd've loved to see John in a torn shirt wrestling a Muppet for the enjoyment of a Greek Muppet God.

Hmm... o.O
