Srsly, I think there's something wrong with me. I just...didn't think it was that awesome...

*hides from the thrown vegetable matter*

I mean, it was quite funny in some parts and the songs were great and it was free so I'm not about to start demanding better, but yeah. I didn't really think it was as clever as I think it thought it was. I didn't find the tone-change at the end unexpected or overly affecting, I was pretty much expecting it and it happened in a rather cliche fashion. And it's nothing I haven't seen done elsewhere and better. Well, okay, untrue for the musical aspect which was the one totally awesome thing about it, I will grant. But true for the supervillain videoblog and the rest of the toying with the comic/superhero genre stuff.

So yeah. Dr Horrible: Not That Awesome.

In other news I have to get my hair cut today because it is like, down to my hips and that is patently ridiculous. Unfortunately I have an inexplicable fear of hairdressers. *wibble*

*Hides with you in the corner*

Had it's moments, but not overwhelmingly so. I did enjoy Nathan's manly chest and arms though.

YAY! It's so gratifying to know I'm not alone. There seems to be a small but sizable contingent of us in this corner.

And...I will not say bad things about Nathan Fillion's arms, no, because they were quite...armly. But to be honest, I spent most of it wondering why he wasn't anywhere near as pretty as he used to be on Firefly... But I'm probably just being bitter by this point!

Plus everyone knows that in the sheer sex-on-legs stakes, NO ONE beats the Operative. I probably would have liked this mediocre offering 10x more if Chiwetel Ejiofor had been the armly Captain Hammer. But he's probably off standing behind Denzel Washington in some serious film. *le sigh*

Oooh le ouch. Was he in more than that heist film with Denzel? I have to admit again though, I was admiring Clive Owen in that one.. I do so <3 him...

Not a heist film, but he was also in American Gangster (which was actually a great film; my snark is just the bitterness of a b-list actor fan), where he played Denzel Washington's character's younger brother. Which basically meant he spent lots of time being far prettier than Mr Washington and standing behind him without a lot of lines... :(

Ahh well he was doing the same thing in .. I think it's Inside Man.

Yes! I love that film! I went to see it entirely because of the three seconds of Chiwetel Ejiofor in the trailer, which turned out a fabulous decision! Although, as you say, he was generally relegated to standing behind Denzel Washington. If he does another one of those, I'll start to think it's part of some insidious plan... ;)

You spend a lot of time quietly repeating his name, don't you. *g*
