Dr Horrible: I am a bad fangirl...

Srsly, I think there's something wrong with me. I just...didn't think it was that awesome...
*hides from the thrown vegetable matter*
I mean, it was quite funny in some parts and the songs were great and it was free so I'm not about to start demanding better, but yeah. I didn't really think it was as clever as I think it thought it was. I didn't find the tone-change at the end unexpected or overly affecting, I was pretty much expecting it and it happened in a rather cliche fashion. And it's nothing I haven't seen done elsewhere and better. Well, okay, untrue for the musical aspect which was the one totally awesome thing about it, I will grant. But true for the supervillain videoblog and the rest of the toying with the comic/superhero genre stuff.
So yeah. Dr Horrible: Not That Awesome.
In other news I have to get my hair cut today because it is like, down to my hips and that is patently ridiculous. Unfortunately I have an inexplicable fear of hairdressers. *wibble*

Date: 2008-07-21 06:22 pm (UTC)Fortunately my hair removal experience wasn't nearly as horrifying as his beard removal experience. No blood at all! Just like...a foot of hair. So, comparable to the amount of hair Baltar lost, really. I think that beard was sentient or something.

Date: 2008-07-21 09:31 pm (UTC)I. . .really miss having the beard around. But I'm glad your experience wasn't anywhere as traumatic.

Date: 2008-07-22 12:42 am (UTC)Perhaps James Callis is secretly a twin. Or has two heads and decides which one to wear each morning.
Although if he were a twin then there would be NO EXCUSE not to have more Baltar & Head!Baltar scenes and...now I am sad. Because there aren't more.
Damned beard.

Date: 2008-07-22 12:48 am (UTC)I was SO UPSET when they shaved him, you have no idea, but in a way it was good for me? Because I spent AGES going "god, is that real hair? It has to be real hair. Or do they stick it on in the morning, one by one? I MUST KNOW."
I like the idea that he has two heads. Because, like. In S4, his beard was OBVIOUSLY false, but not in S3. Yet. . .seriously.
It is maddening in its magnificence.

Date: 2008-07-22 10:22 pm (UTC)BECAUSE HOW? JUST HOW?
...I am going with the two-heads theory. Until I can kidnap James Callis and force him to tell me. Or failing that, shanghai unwitting barbers and other haircare professionals and make THEM spin theories!
...and now I discover I have no icon about hair. So I shall use this one in honour of how much I love Roslin's hair. (Her wig is my other BSG hair-related trauma...)

Date: 2008-07-22 10:26 pm (UTC)YOU KNOW WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, THOUGH, IS HOW THIS DOES NOT COME UP MORE OFTEN. Like, if I met James Callis at a con, that would be the VERY FIRST THING I asked him, and everyone's all "OOOH, TELL US ABOUT NUMBER SIX AGAIN."
I think the real mystery, here, is 'what is wrong with humanity?'
Thanks to Patrick Dempsey, I have an embarrassment of hair icons. Sadly, none of them are BSG-related.
